How do you see yourself? What images come to mind when you are alone and just thinking about your life and how far you have come? Are they good thoughts or bad?
Well, what you think and how you view yourself determines how you treat yourself and other people.
If you see yourself as a failure and a nobody, then it is time to change that kind of thinking because it is not based on the truth. You need to have a stable mind, and that means becoming your own cheerleader.
You have to understand one thing; you have an enemy who does not want your dreams to come into fruition, he doesn’t want you to live like a child of the most high King that you are so he is continuously attacking your mind to prevent you from becoming the person God has created you to be. The enemy will keep bombarding you with negative thoughts. If you dwell on those thoughts, you will end up sabotaging your success.
While we cannot control every thought that comes in our mind, we can decide not to dwell on them. Yes, we have power over our thoughts.
Your thoughts can work for you or against you; it all depends on what you allow. You are a child of God, created in his image. Jesus died so that you can live in Freedom; he has given you authority over your thoughts and powers in heaven and on earth. Take your rightful place, start thinking and living like the person you have been called to be . See yourself the way God sees you.
Go through the process of mind renewal so that you can move from a place of negative thinking to a place where your thoughts align with the word of God. Will it be an easy process to go through? No, it won’t but you will be grateful that you took the time to do it.
Now understand that even when your thought process changes for the better, you will have to continue improving your mind every single day of your life.
Here are 4 ways that you can develop thoughts into pure thoughts.
1. Agree with God’s Word
Understand that you did not make yourself; God did. You have to agree with God so that you can hold your rightful place.
2.Studying and memorizing the word of God will help you to shift your mindset & thinking.
You will stop thinking that you are worthless and begin to see yourself for who you are when your life aligns with the word of God.
Think about true and lovely things
3. Every time a negative thought comes in your mind, counter it with the precious promises that you have memorized. Find true and beautiful things about yourself and start speaking them over your life.
4. When you speak positive things over yourself, the subconscious mind with pick them and they will be turned in to thoughts.
It doesn’t mean that Christians don’t deal with negative thinking; they choose to focus on the positive ones, those that align with what the King says about them. Always choose to have the thoughts of a having a positive Spirit. -Demetria Buie
