When God Speaks: Listen Closely
We are approaching the end of 2019, and I have a few things I want to say to you… Right now is not the time to think about what you didn’t do, the pain you endured, the struggles you faced, and the disappointments you encountered. Right now, it’s time to forgive and let go! You can’t change the past, but with God holding you by the hand, you have the power to change your future. The start of my 2019 looks nothing like my present. The present manifestation of God’s glory is a direct result of my obedience. Early this year I was at my apartment when I heard God’s voice. He planted desires in my heart, desires that became seeds. Now, I had one of two choices: either water the seeds or let the seeds dry out.Watered Seeds,
God spoke to me about going on a tour to help women overcome their past adversities by sharing my experience, my testimony. He told me to share with others where He took me out of, to guide women to have the courage to speak and tell their stories. God said to me that I will encourage women to talk about the topics of business, ministry, and church. The vision he gave me was one that consisted of women from all walks of life, coming together as one, no color, and no judgment zone. These desires that God planted in my heart became visions that, quite frankly, made me nervous. But above my nerves overwhelming every thought I had, I pushed through the fear because I understood that God was with me. Nor did I listen to God’s call upon my life, but I also stepped out in faith. Now we are in October 2019 and can tell you that I did not remain stagnant, I was obedient to God’s spoke words. Not only did I listen, but I made my actions match the level of my faith; I persevered. That is why I can proudly say that this is what 2019 looked like for me and a glimpse of what still lies ahead.Letting It All Go Conference – April 13, 2019, in Richmond, VA.

When I was first asked to be the keynote speaker at the Toronto Canada conference, I could not believe it. It was my first speaking engagement, a “ministry gig” and it was out the country. Before this occurred, I would have never thought that I’d use the word “speaker” on my resume, let alone on a flyer because I’ve never seen myself as a speaker. It’s natural for me to refer to myself as a publisher or an author, among other titles.September 14, 2019 came and nervously I got onto the plane. When my friend and I arrived at Toronto Canada, I was so nervous. Mind you, I didn’t know what I was going to speak on before this event, so I did a lot of praying. What only a few people know is that although this seemed like a highlight to my life it was a moment where I faced many people walking away from me. But in my heart, I knew God was launching to the next level. This year has been beyond amazing and stepping out of my comfort zone and pursuing my God-given purpose despite my fears. I stand today, overwhelmed me with gratitude. I’m proud of who I’m becoming and what I’ve accomplished thus far, and I’m looking forward to my future stronger than ever because I know that He who is in me is greater than any fear or obstacle that I face. I love God, and I love Jesus, and I will never look back!Philippians 3:13-14 – Brothers, I do not count myself to have attained, but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead. I press towards the goal to the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus. In this text Apostle Paul is stating that he has not made it on his own accord. He pressed forward knowing that there was a clear goal at hand and the prize was the calling upon his life, which was granted by God in Jesus Christ. Therefore, today, I say to you that when God speaks into your life and casts a vision of purpose, it’s your job to water those seeds. It does not matter where you are in life or what you have or have not achieved. Dare to have courage and step out in faith, for God will fulfill that vision that he has for your life. This life that we are living is a marathon, and it’s not about how fast you get to the finish line or how well equipped you are that matters. What matters is how you approach your trials and push through the rough moments, through the fears and the pain inflicted by others. There is a prize to be won by looking forward unto Jesus Christ, the author of our journey, and the ultimate seal of approval to the fulfillment of our destiny.
“Water the seeds that God plants in your heart and watch them grow and produce good fruit. Step out of your fear and step into your calling. God bless you!”
